Smokeless stack pours begin at CGE Walter C Beckford plant
Concrete work starts on a 515 foot smokeless stack at the Walter C Beckford Station near New Richmond. The $1,000,000 project will use 1,485 cubic yards of concrete in 62 lifts, completing in about 17 weeks. The fifth unit adds 250,000 kilowatts for CG&E, lifting system capacity to 1,500,000 kilowatts.
