Mr. Lang of Afton Clermont County skidded at the intersection of Routes 125 and 182 striking a telephone pole that fell across the road. Mrs Kelsey and Mrs Gates helped stop an eastbound Greyhound bus to clear the pole. Lang received scalp wound treatment from Dr Sperling in Amelia and was later driven home by Sheriff Brooks.

Loveland Man Receives Air Medal for Meritorious Action
Staff Sgt. Marvin Stock of Loveland Ohio was awarded the Air Medal for meritorious achievement while serving as engineer and top turret gunner on a Fifteenth Army Air Force B 24 Liberator. He is noted for participation in aerial operations against Nazi targets in the Balkans Northern Italy France and Southern Germany.
