Civic Club Thanks Ohio Two Trustees
Civic Club members including Mrs. Mercer thanked Township Trustees for cemetery work on Route 132 and 12 Mile Road. They offered to beautify the grounds with bushes. Trustees held a public auction for the 1963 truck with sander and plow. winning bid 1340 by Washington Township trustees. The vehicle had been bought in 1968 from Batavia Township. Next trustees meeting set for September 7 at township hall.

Scouts Hold Car Wash in New Richmond Aug 11

Summer Recreation Ends With A Splash In New Richmond
The New Richmond Exempted Village School District wrapped up a seven week summer program with a pool finale as hundreds swam for goldfish prizes. Attendance averaged 279 daily, totaling 9 209 for the season. Kent Lanham earned a three year perfect attendance certificate and a ball and bat gift. The program offered swimming, indoor and outdoor sports for youths from 9 years through high school with coaches led by Jim Slater. Forrest T. Hinson, 74, a longtime local businessman, died Aug 2 in Cincinnati. He led A P Appliances Co and served with Clermont Building Loan and Savings, Kiwanis and Historic New Richmond. Burial followed at Greenmound Cemetery. Lew F White Memorial Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Robert G. Tucker announces all New Richmond Exempted Village schools will hold new student registrations on August 15 with specific hours for high, junior high, and elementary levels. Kindergarten and first grade must show proof of age and immunizations. Full day sessions start August 29 with unchanged bus and class schedules.
