A big Republican rally is set for Bethel at 8 PM next Friday in the school auditorium. Myers Y. Cooper, Republican candidate for Governor, will speak on day’s issues and his planned course if elected on November 6. The event, organized by the Clermont county Cooper for Governor Club, includes Hyde Park Cooper Club and invites the entire county to hear Cooper discuss state finances and year round highways.

James H White, born September 8 1860 in Amelia Ohio, built the Williamsburg Chair Factory and led a trusted life as a salesman and businessman. He married Maggie Atchley in 1884 and left four children and four grandsons, with a legacy of kindness, integrity and civic loyalty. He died July 31 1928 after forty five years as a Mason and was remembered as a generous neighbor and family man who valued duty to country and church.
