Cooper Club Formed in Clermont County Bethel
A Clermont County group named the Myers V Cooper Club formed Friday at Thomas Fisher's Bethel home. Dr. Hubbel of Hyde Park led the meeting. Officers elected: Thomas Fisher chairman Jos Brook secretary and W K Siye treasurer. Twenty members joined. each pledged 25 more, totaling about 400. Hyde Park Club plans to attend Cooper speeches in the county. Date to be announced.

Booze Net Mystery Reported On Ohio River
A Wellsburg area tale claims bootleggers stash liquor in nets placed offshore in the Ohio River near Neville Kentucky. Nets marked by a wooden block are hauled up with grappling hooks, yielding about 24 bottles per catch before the net is dropped back. The men behind the scheme supposedly live well and dine fine while avoiding detection.

Miss Laura McDonald 17, daughter of H. J. McDonald Summerside, died after a fall from a sleeping porch banister at her uncle's Covington Kentucky home. She suffered multiple injuries and died at St Elizabeth Hospital Thursday night. Funeral set for Sunday at 10:30 from Summerside residence with Olive Branch burial.
