Kirk and Susie Kessler, leading to arrests after identification by witnesses and a jailhouse confrontation. London authorities were en route to identify the prisoner.

Columbus August 2 The Ohio Power Company filed a new rate schedule with the State Utilities Commission claiming a reduction of about 400000 annually in customer bills across nearly 800 towns and villages. The changes affect residential and commercial lighting rates and apply as of September 4. The Canton headquartered company is a consolidated unit of several sister companies each with its own rate schedules.

Clermont 4-H Camp Aims to Build Rural Urban Leadership
Clermont County's second annual boys and girls 4-H club camp at Camp Ross near Milford drew 83 campers and 10 leaders. The Wyandottes won the tribal competition, receving a marshmallow prize, then shared it with the other tribes. Activities included health, singing, nature study, leather work and swimming with evening vesper and campfire duties. The county Farm Bureau noted expansion plans for direct to packet livestock marketing with a Washington D C branch serving Clinton, Greene, Fayette and Madison counties, managed by J H Jefferson with the Fayette Producers. Sessions by the American Institute of Cooperation, in Berkeley, were described as highly successful by L B Palmer.
