Second mail rate boosts approved by postal board

Lyndie McAfee the newly named editorial director for Clermont Publishing Company received the Amosives Root Award for aviation writing from the Ohio Aviation Trades Association on July 28. The certificate honors the Wright Brothers flight account first printed in Gleanings In Bee Culture. McAfee’s Clermont County Airport article appeared November 20, 1975 in Clermont Courier Plus 2. She also received a $100 honorarium and the book Fair Weather Flying autographed by Dick Taylor.
