A Bethel Ohio woman and an Augusta Kentucky man died in a Sunday night crash near a sharp curve between Ripley and Georgetown. Clarence Claypool 30 and Mrs Anna Sauers 24 died. Claypool killed instantly, Sauers died before aid arrived. Bodies taken to Steen and Kennedy funeral homes.

Judge Disposes Of Four Cases
Judge Charles G. White disposed of four cases last week. Val Benedict pleaded guilty to burglary and was sentenced to the Ohio Penitentiary for 1 to 3 years. Arthur Cobb pleaded guilty to larceny and received an 8 year deferred sentence. Harold Clark pleaded guilty to non support and got a three year deferred sentence with $10 weekly child support. Clarence Robbins pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and failure to stop and received a six month deferred jail sentence plus suspended driving rights for six months. Barles Bryant, a former CCC enrollee now in Batavia jail, awaits grand jury on auto theft charges. Bryant’s marriage occurred in the probate office, but he was returned to jail. his mother and bride left for Covington. Bryant is charged with stealing a 1928 Chevrolet owned by Fred Horstman. He was bound over to the grand jury under $1000 bond.
