Park Improvements Planned in Felicity Area

The Felicity village park will gain a shelter house and bandstand with tables and grills funded by the State Highway Department. The site on the Felicity-Bantam Pike sits on land willed to Felicity by Mrs. Wilmer South. Community efforts also discuss forming a trust fund for Moscow cemetery burials and invite support from locals.

Circus and Wild West Show Comes to Batavia Saturday

Circus and Wild West acts arrive at Batavia school grounds Saturday night at 7 p.m. Cleve Larue, from Gainesville, will perform with wife and partner, featuring trick riding roping performing horses ponies dogs and a 29 inch 150 pound midget horse raised in Cook County Texas. Large Attendance at Clermont County Conservation Field Day

A large crowd of farmers gathered for the second annual Clermont County conservation field day at the William Blankenship farm on State Route 133. Sponsored by the Clermont County Council and USDA, the event showcased pasture development, a grasshopper dusting demo by Ohio Flying Farmers, and 4600 feet of drainage ditch work. The 4-H Clubs ran a food tent to support the 4-H camp fund.

Kindergarten Class Seeks Funds to Open in September

Williamsville-Tabasco area residents back a planned kindergarten with 38 enrollments, above the required quota. About 143 raised so far. two fundraisers set for August and September including a card party at Woods home and a dance revue at Basco School. Chile Man Fined By Mayor Flynn

Will Johnson, 47, of Route 1 Chile, was fined $120 plus costs for reckless and drunken driving in New Richmond Mayor Russell Flynn’s court on July 29. Chief Fred Holt arrested him. Walter A. Moore of Cold Grove, Ohio, was fined $104.70 for driving a truck with a 9,000 pound overweight load of steel.

Batavia 4-H Girls Tour Cincinnati Gas and Electric

Batavia Needlepoint 4-H Club members visited Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company's Home Lighting Department to gather ideas for their many projects. The two groups, totaling 48 girls, meet weekly with a monthly general session and plan demonstrations at Owensville Fair August 16 to 19. They will build a float and set up a club booth, guided by adviser Mrs. David Fette.

County Home Roof Repair Approved by Clermont Commissioners

Clermont County commissioners meeting at Batavia courthouse approved roof repair for the county home. Contracts go to Guy Sanderman of Batavia for downspouts and fiber coating from a Cleveland firm with Ronald Hastons applying it. Two new fire extinguishers will be installed from H. M. Poole of Sardinia. A culvert at the veterans housing project in Williamsburg will be repaired by Junior Sammons of Raffin.

Armentrout Fined and jailed in Clermont County case

Robert Armentrout age 23 of Edenton was fined 100 dollars and sentenced to 90 days in county jail for tampering with an automobile and bound over to the grand jury on breaking and entering charges. Warrant had named Armentrout with two companions, William Roslow and Herbert Rogers, who pleaded guilty and are serving similar terms. Armentrout was captured in Indiana and returned to Clermont County for trial by Sheriff Clyde Dericks and Deputy Marvin Bissants.
