Auto Collision on Williamsburg Pike Injures No One
George Gregg and family collided with Henry Glazier near John Brown's residence on a Saturday night. Gregg’s car suffered axle damage, windshield breakage, and steering gear damage. Glazier’s car was also damaged. No serious injuries reported. one witness suggested dimmers to prevent blinding headlights.

Plans Approved for Town Sewer Extension to School
The town council approved J C Babbitt s sewer plan to be sent to the State Board of Health. A partial line from the school house to Main Street will cost about 900 dollars and include three man holes. The creamery may extend the line along Broad Way to Victoria avenue at its expense. The sewer will carry cellars baths toilets and down spouts only. The school board funds the present improvement.

Contracts Awarded For Pike Improvements In Ohio
State Highway Commissioner awarded two contracts last week. Elza A. Meeker of Bethel to build one mile on the Cincinnati and West Union pike for Nine thousand nine hundred ninety dollars and fifty cents, to finish September 15, 1916. John K. Spencer of Argonia to build one mile on the Milford and Hillsboro pike for eight thousand six hundred sixty seven dollars eighty cents, finish November 1, 1916. Extensions likely. Three miles out of Batavla nearing three years under construction and not complete.

Gun Bluff suspect held on firearms charge in dust dispute
Lawrence Nunnery of Brazier was arrested by Sheriff Williams on a warrant from William Krekeler. He is charged with pointing firearms with intent to shoot and wound after threatening a driver passing his home on a dusty dirt road. Nunnery pleaded not guilty and posted $600 bond.

The clerk of courts ends the year June 30 with a routine report. School seating contract awarded to Dayton man
The seating contract for the new school building went to Wm. McCormick of Dayton KY, formerly of New Richmond. He represents the American Seating Co. of Chicago. All steel seats in the latest design will seat four rooms with 118 seats. Completion expected by the opening of school the second week in September after the Chautauqua.

Widows Remembered in Ashbrook Pension Bill
The Ashbrook bill, favorably advancing in the Senate, would deny monthly $20 pensions to civil war widows aged 70 and over. It would allow widows of veterans married before June 27 1906 to receive the same pension now limited to those married before June 27 1890.

Four in a Week Marks Local Deaths Across Ohio
Aleck Glancy of Afton died at his Cincinnati home and his burial occurred Saturday after travel from Clermont county. Mrs. Juliana Bloom died at 92 after a brief illness and was shipped to Eaton for burial. Mary Martin Wynne, 78, died at her Boston Pike home and was buried in Cincinnati. Amanda Spruance, 79, died at a relative’s home and was shipped to Marshal for burial.
