Social services levy withdrawn from ballot by county officials
Clermont County Commissioners withdrew the social services levy from the June 8 ballot after a March 25 vote. Senior Services Director Lois Dale reported the issue before the filing deadline and officials sought withdrawal due to insufficient time to promote the levy and needed language clarifications. Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Blust advised there is no clear legal authority to withdraw but supported removal if a simple board letter suffices. Continued on page 2.
