4 H Executives Plan Clermont County 4 H Year

Clermont County 4 H Club Executive Committee met in Batavia to map the year. They discussed forming a Junior Fair Board with rural youth and planned activities including Coney Island Day club camps health demonstrations a style show fair booth and parade contests. Last year 689 youths belonged to 52 clubs and organizers expect growth.

County Grange Chorus Holds First Rehearsal May 8

The first rehearsal of the County Grange Chorus will be held Monday May 8 at 8 pm in the music room of Batavia school building. Despondent Woman Commits Suicide in Penintown Home

Mrs. Dallas Tarvin a Galley Hill native, wife of a local resident, died by suicide in the cellar of her Penintown home on Wednesday morning. Dr. Allen B. Rapp and Coroner Sam White attended. she leaves a son Elmer 17 and many relatives. Funeral at St Philomena Church Stovelick with Rev Stuhlmuller.

World War Moving Pictures at Batavia Armory

Clermont County American Legion County Council hosts an entertainment for World War veterans and families at Batavia Armory on Tuesday May 4 at 8 p m. Family Reunion Welcomes Mr and Mrs George Preston in Batavia

A Batavia gathering at Mrs Lucy Titus home brings together Hulick Lytle and Titus families to greet Mr and Mrs George Preston of San Diego en route to England for the Coronation. Preston is tied to the San Diego Union and Evening Tribune. Mrs Preston is daughter of Walter Hulick and niece of Lucy Titus. About forty guests attended as the Prestons plan a Britannia voyage then to the Acquitania, absent roughly three months.

Licensing of live stock dealers in county and state

The Department of Agriculture assigns Dr. Jas Noeller to Clermont County to enforce licensing of live stock dealers. Many complaints have been registered. An application for a license can be obtained from the State Veterinarian in Columbus, Ohio. No fee is charged for the license.

Cattle Owners in Two Townships Plan Meeting on Disease Eradication

Cattle owners in Tate and Franklin Townships will meet on April 29 and April 30 at Bethel Grant Memorial and Felicity School House to decide on sponsoring a Bang's disease eradication campaign. Dr. A J DeFosset, federal veterinarian, will explain the program. Goshen Township already voted to sponsor and tests show about 2 percent infection rate.

Field Track Meet at Amelia School Grounds

A field and track meet will be held at the Amelia school ground on Saturday May 15 starting at 8345 am. Thirty one events are planned for girls and boys in grades five through eight with nine county schools entered Owensville Amelia Mt Carmel Pierce Consolidated Branch Hill Franklin Pt Isabel Glen Erie Pennante. First and second place teams earn ribbons while individual winners receive ribbons. A championship baseball game will be played between two teams with the best records. Men Bible Class Assn meeting set at Bethel church

All men in Cler mont county are invited to an organization meeting of the Men’s Bible Class Association at the Church of Christ in Bethel next Thursday night May 6 at 8 o’clock. The event is church‑affiliation agnostic and a large attendance is expected with Mr Guy Leavitt, ex president of the National Federation of Men’s Bible Classes, to deliver a keynote message.

Felicity Franklin Institute Program Marginally Reported

Instrumental numbers were presented by Felicity Franklin School music students at the Clermont County Teachers Association meeting in Batavia Host School Auditorium last Saturday. The program opened with a short talk on the composers' lives. Sewing Club Meeting Collects Pins in New Tonsville
