Four indicted for welfare fraud in Clermont County
Four people face trial on welfare fraud charges in Clermont County bringing the total indicted to four. Audrey P. Donley, 58, is accused of unlawfully obtaining 1276 dollars in General Relief in 1977 and 1978. Lewis L. Lightner, 37, allegedly received 1122 dollars in General Relief in 1976 and 1977 and faces trial May 4. Patricia J. Brown, 34, is charged with 612 dollars in Aid to Dependent Children in 1976 and 1977 and remains imprisoned after probation revocation. Mayford Mullins, 37, is charged with 5006 dollars in Aid to Dependent Children in 1977 and 1978. A fugitive warrant exists for Sherry Powers, 22, formerly of Batavia, who was sentenced in January 1978 for theft of a welfare check and later reported to begin serving her sentence.
