Youth charged with auto theft held at Batavia
Amelia Ky Truman Bryant 22 of Hazard Ky arraigned before Batavia Mayor on automobile theft charge. He was held for Clermont County Grand Jury on $2500 bond after wrecking a stolen car on Rt 125 near Rt 222. Bryant claimed he quit Hilton Burger Co work at 1:30 am and had been drinking. He said he had been released from the Ashland Federal Reformatory for auto theft.

County to buy truck and road roller for operations
Clermont County Board of Commissioners began steps to purchase a 4 ton truck for the county dog ward en and a tandem road roller. The Ed wards Highway Construction Equipment Co offered the roller for 6321 with prosecutor approval needed. Bids will be sought for the dog ward en truck and a sheriff's car. Funds to come from an advance of part of the operations expense fund from the county treasurer.
