Clermont Easter Egg Hunt to award at least 75 prizes
The seventh annual Clermont Courier- Frank W. Weaver Post Easter Egg Hunt will start at 2 p m on Saturday April 20 on the American Legion grounds near Batavia. Harold Reder will lead the hunt with assistants James De Camp Frank Kafka Joe Greber and Frank Urban. Children in three age groups will compete while under four year olds receive a candy treat in the legion basement. Over 600 colored eggs will be hidden with many marked for prize eligibility from Batavia businesses. Prizes totaling numerous awards will be posted by participating firms, including First National Bank Tim es Star Spaulding s Market and many others, with exact counts listed.

Baby Dies in Gasoline Blast Near Loveland

Officers Hurt In Dynamite Blast Near Amelia
Two Clermont County officers Fred Hoh and Fred Tissot were badly injured by a delayed dynamite blast while blasting stumps two miles east of New Richmond. Hoh, 38, remains at General Hospital then Holmes for eye injuries. Tissot, 29, is at Jewish Hospital. They were aided by Chief Charles Spaulding and the Anderson Township Life Squad.
