Ohio cancer survivors from counties statewide were honored by 375 attendees at the 22nd American Cancer Society Cured Cancer Assembly and Crusade Kickoff at Ohio State University in Columbus. Clermont County's Helen Spencer, cancer survivor for 14 years, represented the county. The event launches the annual April fundraising and education drive with an $8.5 million goal for 1982.

A petition to the Board of Clark County Commissioners under Chapter 6131. a mutual group pooling funds and building a ditch. and a Senate Bill 160 procedure led by a group steering committee chair.
