Albert L. Davis 75 lifelong Clermont County resident died from a self inflicted gun wound after illness. Final services were at Moore Funeral Home with burial in Lucy Run Cemetery. He lived on the family farm where he was born and left a daughter Lucile Hughes a foster daughter Helen Davis two grandchildren Louise Eigher Jr and Sgt Loren Hughes serving in Germany.

Ration Board Announces New Price Posting Rules
The Cler mont War Price and Rationing Board requires liquor retailers to display three new ceiling price posters by April 16. One lists on premise beer and malt beverages, another lists off premise malt beverages, and a third covers 14 liquor items with glass sizes and ceiling prices. Posters must be sent in triplicate and pricing aligned to April 1943 levels. Consumer forms for coal customers are available, and from May 1 a new record form will track gasoline ration transfers.
