First lime crushing demonstration held in Clermont County
The initial lime crushing demonstration occurred March 31 1915 one mile south of Batavia with 20 to 26 farmers present. The lime crushing machine, provided by a company in cooperation with local farmers, tested lime use under Ohio Experiment Station guidance.
