Prominent Clermont Artist Dies and Funeral Held Sunday
Funeral services for Mrs. Stephen Alice an internationally known artist and first woman to win the Ingalls scholarship at the Cincinnati Art Academy were held Sunday at Cranston Memorial Church New Richmond. She died Thursday after a long illness at her New Richmond home aged 60. She studied in Cincinnati under notable instructors and exhibited widely including Ohio Valley landscapes and works from trips to New York Washington and the West. Survived by husband a son Robert of New Richmond and four brothers in Columbus.

Harlan H Mace of Barstow LeFeber to arrange a tentative WPA project for the water works and to contact RFC officials about borrowing 20 percent of funds. Burglar Sentenced to 10 to 25 Years in Ohio Penitentiary
Clarence Huff aged 25 of Loveland was indicted by the grand jury Tuesday for burglary and sentenced Thursday to 10 to 25 years in the Ohio Penitentiary by Judge Charles White. Deputy Sheriff Tom Brooks took him into custody Friday.
