Clermont Baseball League Opens With Eight Teams

District Child Welfare Conference Set for Hillsboro
A Hillsboro Childrens Welfare Conference will be held April 25 at the Presbyterian church. Air Mail Service Aims for Faster Delivery

Awaiting Trial for Forgery in Clermont County
Vina Scott Hargis, indicted by the Clermont county grand jury for forgery, was returned from Louisville, Kentucky, and jailed on $500 bond. Bondsman Dr. W. E. Leever turned her over to the court through County Detective Kain. She allegedly forged her first husband Claude Scott’s name on a check. Trial is set for Thursday morning. Croswell previously employed nine boarders at the county's expense last week.

Allen Glancy, one of Batavia's oldest citizens and the oldest member of the Batavia Odd Fellows lodge, died at his home Tuesday morning in his 86th year. Fire Ends Home of Chas. Jones Near Marathon
A wind storm Friday destroyed the Joe Christy place home of Chas. Jones near Marathon. The house and contents were a total loss with little insurance on goods. Sparks on the roof started the blaze, and cinders flew half a mile setting fire to a meadow nearby.
