Sheriff orders Clermont county slot machines shut by April deadline
An unsigned letter to Governor Donahey from Milford urged action against slot machines run by pupils in Clermont county towns. Sheriff Croswell, after contacting the governor, gave all operators until Thursday night April 19 to remove and cease operation or face seizure and arrest. The machines were reportedly in operation in most counties towns. The governor's directive followed discussions with county officials.
