The Stamm garage hosted intermission music by the band for a large audience.

Two accidents in South Batavia last week caused serious worry. Little Helen Mostellis fell from her parents' auto returning from Peebles and suffered severe head injuries. Colleen Murphy, on her way from Peebles aboard a bus, sustained a bad scalp wound. Both incidents had narrow escapes.

Amelia School Bus Rolls Over Leaving 25 Students Safe
About twenty five students riding from Withiamsville to Amelia escaped serious harm when the bus left Route 125 two miles west of Amelia and rolled. Ten pupils were treated at Dr Sidney Scorse’s office for cuts, bruises, and injuries. La Verne Hall had a severe scalp wound and Madaline Hawke broke an arm. Driver James Brooks suffered head and facial lacerations and body bruises. The crash was caused by a broken front spring.

Final Day Set for Special Base Tobacco Applications
The final day to apply for 1935 special-base contracts is April 15 announced to Clermont County growers by E B Baugh, the county agricultural agent. Eligible signers include those who grew tobacco or had tobacco on their land from 1929 to 1934 and those with barns and storage equipment. Regular contract holders cannot sign these special contracts. Kerr Smith tax payment warrants will be issued to contract holders by the Secretary of Agriculture. Interested growers should contact Clermont County Tobacco Control Committee members or the Batavia county agent's office.
