With E Day approaching, Clermont residents prepare for the second annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 12 at 2 pm at the Legion grounds east of Batavia. Children up to 12 search for colored eggs and numbers redeemable for gifts from local merchants. deputies will manage traffic and safety.

Owensville Seeks $90 000 Bond for School Expansion

Owensville voters will decide at the May Primary on a $90 000 bond issue to add four elementary classrooms to the existing school. The district must gain State Tax Commission and State Department of Education approval to raise the district limit from six to eight percent. Board members include George Mull, Mrs Harris Morris, William Riehle, and William Burdsall with County Superintendent Frank B. Hoggatt and Clerk Robert A. Lohr leading the approval request. The enrollment is about 560 students, 130 of them in high school, with Cincinnati architect E Landberg designing the expansion.

Skull Fractures Suffered After Train Car Crash Near Miamiville

Albert W. Jackson of Price Hill and Ibold Road Alpine Dell near Miamiville sustained skull fracture and facial injuries when his car was struck by a Pennsylvania train at Perry's Lane crossing. The 65 year old was transported to Our Lady of Mercy Hospital by Craver ambulance. Jackson, a post and rail fence contractor, formerly managed Chatfield farm on Indian Hill.

Poison Milk Case Studied By County Police Officers

Clermont police investigate a case where a three year old boy nearly died after drinking poisoned milk. Eleven quarts were in the Graybill refrigerator with one left on the porch. Milk from the porch bottle caused sickness. tests showed nicotine and sulphate as poisons.

Laurel firemen fought a grass fire between New Richmond and Laurel after a tarpaulin fell from a truck. Volunteers quickly controlled the blaze.

Illness Forces Resignation of Clermont Welfare Board Clerk

Mrs Harriet Dennison longtime clerk of the Clermont County Child Welfare Board resigns due to illness. The resignation becomes effective April 30 and Mrs Faye Paul of Milford will succeed her. Paul is a former County Board of Health employee.

Man pinned by overturned tractor rescued by truckers

Milford Ohio report says 37 year old Alex Jokich escaped serious injury after a tractor overturned pinning him. He was rushed to Our Lady of Mercy Hospital by Monroe ambulance around 12 30 p m Friday. Truck drivers freed him after about twenty minutes of effort. Jokich later released to recover at home. Dolores Norman, Amelia High School junior, placed among top ten in Careers in Nursing second week contest winning five dollars. Her essay advances toward top prizes of 350 225 and 125 with final judging in April.

Bethel School Board Hears Janitor Contract Decision

Bethel board members met Tuesday with all present. Robert Pribble received a one year janitor contract for the new elementary building after a recommendation by Harris. Hannah and Wilson opposed and walked out. Reed Little, current janitor, was favored by Essex but will stay in his present role. The meeting also discussed James R.
