The Batavia Business Men's Club held its wives' banquet at the school auditorium last Friday. A five course turkey dinner featured songs between courses and an orchestra led by Donald Jamieson on piano. John C. Shuff of Cincinnati entertained, with Judge Davis introducing him, and ten roasted turkeys were served. The event was praised as one of the finest social affairs in the town.

Fire Alarm Reports Gillmore Residence Blaze

Edward Duchemin Dies After Stroke At 46 In Greenberry Area
Edward Duchemin, renowned county brick mason, died at his home near Greenberry Tuesday morning after suffering a stroke Saturday evening. He was 46 and survived by a widow and four children. Funeral services were held Thursday at Greenberry church, noted as the church's largest funeral in its history.
