County Basketball Tournament Opens at Batavia Armory
The Batavia Armory hosts a two day county basketball tournament starting 9 a m Friday with high school teams from Batavia Felicity Owensville Amelia Williamsburg and Bethel. Officials include Miss Helen Koops Miss Bertha Bruckman and Mr Fordyce all from Cincinnati. Winners receive silver cups and medals with runners up earning smaller cups. Season tickets priced at 1 50 cover all games.

Rapps Quick Work on Moonshine Raid Near New Richmond
Sheriff John Rapp and Deputy W E Kain raided Chas Hen sley s place near New Richmond capturing five and a half gallons of moonshine. Hensley pleaded guilty before Judge Joseph at 1 pm and was fined 100 dollars and committed until paid. He remained in the workhouse the following day at 2 pm.
