Reagan Poll Divides On Leadership Image In Polls

Two polls paint contrasting views of President Reagan. Yankelovich Time poll finds high confidence in his economic, foreign policy, and leadership skills with 77 70 and 80 percent, while Gallup Newsweek shows only 1 percent rating his performance as good, a nine point drop from August. The Yankelovich study surveyed 1222 registered voters September 15 17 by phone, Gallup 671 adults September 23 24 prior to a TV address.
