Old Spring lawn concert dedication Sunday in Amherst

Amherst area residents are invited to a Sunday 4 7 p m Old Spring lawn concert and dedication featuring Town Minstrel Tim Blake and Friends Lorain County Golden Crescent Choir barbershop singers and a $1 donation at Milan Avenue gateway behind city hall. Proceeds support the Old Spring permanent improvement fund.

Amherst board warns of cuts if levy fails

Amherst school leaders warn the 4.3 mill operating levy must pass to avoid deficits in 1985 86 and outline deep cuts including busing 14 to 16 teaching positions six support staff and all extracurriculars.
