Prout Plans New Chevrolet Dealership in Elyria
Prout plans a new Chevrolet dealership in Elyria after the planning commission approved rezoning 10 acres at the northeast corner of the R1 bypass and Sugar Ridge Road. Houston Prout and attorney J C William Tattersall said GM Chevrolet approved the location and plans, with 0.1 million square feet of buildings on roughly one acre and the rest for parking and display. The project includes dedicating 2 feet of right of way if widening the bypass becomes necessary, as Prout seeks expansion beyond his current 42 acres at Center Ridge Road.
