Great Salt Lake Drying Up Spurs Utah Lawmakers Visit
North of the nearly empty marina on Utah’s southern Great Salt Lake shore, more than 100 boats sit high and dry as pink bacteria bloom in the drought. Legislators toured a brine shrimp plant and a minerals facility while considering dredging to create a navigable channel and potential water projects to keep the lake from further collapse.
