Husband Faces Murder Charge In Wife s Death
Edwin M. Walter, 52, is charged with murder in the death of his wife Celia Walter in West Unity. Investigators say lie detector tests contradicted his initial account of finding her body, gunpowder burns on his right hand support gun use, and he later claimed an accidental shooting while stopping her from self harm. Prosecutor Gibson Fenton says Walter bought the gun in Toledo five days earlier and claims the wife threatened self harm during a Sept. 12 argument.
