Sheriff Makes Numerous Arrests in Amherst and Avon Lake
Sheriff Underhill and deputies arrested multiple violators during Labor Day weekend in South Amherst and Avon Lake. Ophelia Keraveacot was fined 80 dollars for selling liquor to quarry workers. her husband Andrew Kruzzattit faced 500 dollars for possession of liquor and 25 dollars for incorrigibility. The couple remained jailed unable to pay. Sunday at 3 am Joe Burinski’s Hazen Street home saw a drunk party. Joes Bonjesic Arthur Polen John Wik and Joe Veshick were charged with intoxication with fines set by Justice George. John Stiegerwald in Avon Lake was fined 300 dollars for selling liquor and jailed for nonpayment. Steve Fejes of Amherst was arrested for destruction of property after breaking windows at his estranged wife’s home.
