The Lorain County Fair drew around four thousand visitors despite morning rain with better crowds expected on the final day. Judges completed for all twelve departments including Domestic Articles, Needlework, and Linen, with premiums awarded to numerous exhibitors headed by Mrs Harris and others as the pageant drew a large applause-filled repeat performance.
Columbus sheriff Frank L Holycross resigned effective October first after declaring he opposed the Anti Saloon League and state pressure. He cited persecution by officials and said he would return to work as a train dispatcher. County commissioners will appoint a successor.
Mathew Price of 708 Middle Avenue died yesterday at eleven o clock after a several weeks illness. He leaves a widow three daughters Mrs Mary Housteau Mrs E J Fortman and Mrs Herbert Esker and two sons Mathew and James Price also two step children John and Mary Rappel and siblings including Mrs Anna Reese Mrs James Morlley John Sims 4 and David Price Harry H Price in Stockton California Twenty two grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive. Funeral at St Marys church Friday at nine and burial in St Marys cemetery.
Baby Harmon daughter of Mr and Mrs James B Harmon RD 4 Elyria died at Memorial Hospital this morning at 7:00. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow morning at 10:00 from Sudro Funeral Home Rev W L Burner officiating.

Mrs. Jane E. Rundle of Columbia dies at Elyria Memorial Hospital at 9:35 pm aged 20 years 11 months 4 days. Survived by husband Vernon G a 9 weeks old son her parents two sisters and two brothers. Funeral 130 pm from her home and 2 pm at Columbia Baptist Church with Rev Wood and Rev Grady officiating burial in Columbia Cemetery.

Also dated Chicago Sept 3 John W Davis pledges federal aid to farmers in the agricultural west.

Chilly autumn breezes enveloped the capital today after a wind and rain storm that killed three year old Edna Murphy when a cupboard blown by the wind fell on her. Several people were injured by falling trees and are being treated in hospitals.
Edith Henry daughter of E Henry of Avon died at 10 09 Friday morning age 19. She was ill at home when the tornado struck on June 28. The deceased was blown from her bed into a field as the side of the house blew out. Funeral services were held at the Avon Lutheran church on Monday September 1. Miss Cummings Loses Navatt. R I Sept 3 Miss Edith Cummings defending champion was eliminated today in the women s national golf championship by Miss Miriam Burns of Kansas City in a heart breaking match which went to the 21st hole.
