Health board quorum frees funds for payday slate
Lorain County Board of Mental Health and Retardation and related programs received October payroll funding after a last minute quorum was declared. Seven members attended, allowing the board to allocate the month’s funds and meet payroll amid lingering budget uncertainties and pending state disbursements. The board plans to review attendance and possible removals for neglect of duty, while borrowing from the county general fund to cover current bills.
