Lorain teens indicted in pair of murder cases
A 16 year old boy was indicted for murder and felonious assault after a July shooting that killed 31 year old Kenneth Shinafelt on Reeves Avenue. A second 16 year old, linked to the same incident, testified about the confrontation and gun threats. Investigators say Shinafelt was shot from at least 30 yards away.

Lorain County deputies investigate a reported sexual assault involving a Keystone High School student. A 17-year-old boy allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old girl at a LaGrange Township party with many juveniles present. The act reportedly occurred at a relative’s home. an adult was not present.
