Gas murder suspect nabbed at Fairport Harbor
Charles King, alias J. W. Thomas, was arrested in Fairport Harbor for the gas asphyxiation slayings of his wife Ethel King and four sons in Hamilton on Oct 22 1929. He was found in a Fairport barber shop and jailed in Painesville. Detectives from Hamilton brought him back to the scene. One son survived.

Sheriff Adams and deputies seized a large illegal liquor operation at 2493 Oberlin avenue near Lorain High, arresting John Fale 23.
