Timebine lock proposed to deter bank robberies nationwide
A new time based lock system called the timebine lock would delay vault access after the combination is released, enabling police arrival. Bank and brokerage vaults could open briefly at set times, while large cash transports would use timed delays to thwart bandits as police chiefs across the U S and Europe weigh the method.

John Flynn, 20, was knocked unconscious by a fallen tree in the Victorian bush. His dog stayed by his motionless body and nudged Flynn’s face until he revived slightly. He then scribbled a call for help to his mother and tied it to the dog's neck with a handkerchief.
