Two Akron Boys Injured In Bicycle Collision
Two Akron youths James Scott 14 and cousin William Henderson 12 recently ran away from home and were injured in a bicycle collision near Elyria. James suffered multiple lacerations and abrasions while William possibly fractured pelvis. They were riding a stolen bicycle from Hamilton School and were struck by a car driven by J W Phipps of Raymond. Police sought the missing boys and deputy Moehl noted the driver was blinded by headlights and the bicycle had no light.

Second Arrest In South Amherst Robbery Case
Angelo Salvatore, 3, of Cleveland, the second person sought in the April 15 robbery of South Amherst businessman Emil Ruth, was arrested at his home and jailed on an indictment for robbery. Nick Nichols, 35, of Cleveland, already in custody on similar charges, had pleaded not guilty and remains out on bond awaiting trial. Ruth lost 1600 dollars and his watch when three or four assailants stopped him en route from Amherst to South Amherst about 11:20 am as he carried payroll funds from an Amherst bank. The watch, found at a Cleveland pawn shop, aided Nichols’s arrest.

Fire Destroys Six Farm Buildings on Robson Road
A late night blaze at the Henry Schildt heirs farm on Robson Road La Porte destroyed six farm buildings and damaged a farmhouse. Loss estimated near 9000 with 6700 in structure. most of 180 White Leghorn pullets perished though eight cows, four calves, and two horses were saved. Cause undetermined. Fire discovered about 6:45 p m by Peter Gailey. neighbors and Elyria fire department aided. Large crowd watched flames and wind drive the fire across structures.
