Grotto Band Three Part Concert at Elyria High
The El Rey Brotto band will give a three part program at 8 pm on Wednesday October 27 in the Elyria High School auditorium according to director Carl Turner. The first part features multiple marches and overtures including Glory of the Trumpets Front Section March Down by the Old Will Stream Spick and Spin Overture Show Boy March Anniversary Song Novel Novel ette and El Capitan March. The second part offers vaudeville style acts from Ev and Mac Papworth and the Imperial Mixed Quartet from Lorain with Mary Davis Ruth Cecil W W Inman Wasyl Livehack and a Strings from the Band number by Wallace Nichols and Les Papworth. The feature act is Tommy and Kay with Tommy Witkins described as a premier comedian. The final portion includes The New Colonial March Song of the Volga Boatman Star Spangled Polka Princess of India Overture The Caissons Go Rolling Along Lasus Trombone and National Emblem March.

Lawyers To Hold District Meeting At Spring Valley
A proposal to postpone income tax payments up to 15 percent for doctors, lawyers, and other self employed persons if funds are set aside for retirement will be discussed at the District 10 meeting of the Ohio State Bar Association at Spring Valley Country Club on October 27. Akron’s Robert Guinther, a former Ohio Bar president, will outline the plan approved by the American Bar Association. Proponents say current laws disadvantage professionals not under social security. They seek a deduction up to 15 percent funded via low-interest US Government retirement bonds.

Leonard Kuss to MC El Rey Grotto concert show
Leonard Kuss will serve as master of ceremonies for the show. He is chief justice of El Rey Grotto and acts as the band's advisor. The committee expects many children, aiming for a fast moving program. Director Turner reported the entire program will last a little over one and a half hours.
