Tenpin record pace set by Marketmen and Moss in Elyria league

Marketmen and Neil Moss led the Elyria Moose League at Olympic Recreation as they posted season high marks. Moss delivered a 662 series while Hart Construction totaled 924 in the team standings with Moss adding a 234 single. Terrell's Shell Oil and Moose Five split three games with Olympic Recreation and Hazel's Lunch, maintaining a tie for first place as Thomasson's Chips won three from Steve's Barber.

Local bowling leaders span several leagues and records

In Saturday action at Bowling Center Granite Block and nearby centers, United Polish Club League saw 2 486 series by its top team while Plas Construction led single games. John Byecynski and Steve Kaminski shared 623 series and 229 games. New records arose as Jim Reynolds posted 600 for Milford Rivers No 2 and Ken Nester triumphed with a 230 game for Rorick Insurance. Western Heights led with 892 single and 2 462 series. Reliance Machines won three in a row to build a lead. Realtors Are High Kinter Realtors topped with 891 2 458 as leaders in Merchants C League. Ryder Hardware slipped after a 561 series and Refenning’s 246 game set a season high. Construction Team High Plus led Olympic Recreation Women's League with 760 2 164 and C Sittinger led individuals with 464. Kaye's Cafe led Moore B League with 2 202 series. Grassie's Wayside Inn won two, trading first loss as Kendall led Wayside with 604 total.
