Urge Programs For Youths In Armed Forces
Ohio's Commission on Children and Youth urges reestablishment of youth programs like USO during World War II to offer wholesome community activities for youths in uniform. The panel adopted nearly 200 recommendations and will send a 60 member delegation to the White House conference on children and youth in December. The proposals urge churches to serve all children regardless of race or background and call for family oriented activities and pre marital counseling.
