Dedicating Wellingtons new carillonic bells at First Congregational

The Wellington First Congregational Church held a large Sunday service to dedicate its newly installed carillonic bells. Rev Loyal E Werner led the service with music by Mrs Roy McCormick and a solo by Mrs Aretha Stacey Harris of Oberlin. Dedication by Prof L A Owens of Oberlin Theological Seminary. Contributions honored Mary Herrick Smith and others.

Grafton School Assembly Welcomes Faculty and Students

The Graf ton Village High school held the first assembly of the year last Friday to welcome new faculty and students and orient them. The program opened with the assembly march by Ruth Weistl and the pledge by the student body. Edna Findlayson, principal, outlined the gathering’s purpose, with James Rozga of the Masquers welcoming newcomers. The chorus presented America the Beautiful and songs by the boys quartette, followed by a pep rally led by cheer leaders. Class officers were elected for the year.
