Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Lorain Locales
James Belchlavek, 26, of 1526 West 20th Street Lorain, was killed instantly about 11:15 p m yesterday when the motorcycle he rode was struck by a car driven by Mrs Lawless of Vermilion. The collision occurred at Oberlin Avenue and 19th Street Lorain. Mrs Lawless was cleared by police and Coroner T A Peebles. Belchlavek reportedly passed Lawless on the right and tried to turn left onto 19th Street, prompting Lawless to swerve. The car hit the motorcycle and drove it into a telephone pole.

Stray Bullet Narrowly Misses Woman in Amherst Woods
A stray bullet fired by youthful hunter in Amherst township near Elyria township rang narrowly missed Mrs. Ernst as she sat by her kitchen window yesterday morning. The bullet from a small caliber gun went through the window and struck the casing. Mrs. Ernst was about three feet away. Deputy sheriffs were given the hunters’ car license number.

Youthful Slayer Pleads Guilty in Crown Point Case
Perry Swank a 15 year old slayer of an elderly filling station attendant changed his plea to guilty in Lake County criminal court and was sentenced to life imprisonment by Judge Martin L. Smith. Swank confessed to shooting Eugene Duckworth 70 to obtain 45 dollars, gave 44 to a young unwed mother, and dropped the remaining dollar in a church collection plate. He showed no apparent concern during the brief trial and thanked his attorney John Haller and the judge.

Steamer Chesapeake Burns on Ohio River in Manchester
The steamboat Chesapeake valued at 15000 dollars burned to the water's edge in the Ohio River at Manchester on Sunday.
