On Our Way Together Workshop Draws 50 CWU Representatives
About 50 church women from Oberlin Amherst Lorain Avon and Elyria attended a Wednesday workshop at Furst United Methodist Church. Led by Mrs G Kenneth Shafer chair of area B CWU with Mrs Warren Bauman and Mrs Charles Hamilton, the session reviewed new CWU directions from Purdue 1967 and noted CWU’s national reach with units in about 3 000 communities. The program outlined three annual observances World Community Day World Day of Prayer and May Fellowship Day and highlighted six state projects including Causeways Migrants and Leader Development. Discussion groups were led by area leaders: Schwaegerle Sprague Hurd Hathaway Polling.
