Alfred Emery Jr., 46, of Lorain, is in serious condition at Elyria Memorial Hospital after his car left Gulf Road in the 1000 block, careened over a 25 foot retaining wall, crossed the eighth green at Spring Valley Country Club, ripping 100 feet of fence before stopping in a sand trap. He suffered a broken left ankle rib fractures and possible internal injuries.
