The Old Stove Round Up promotes replacing aging gas ranges as eight million homes still use stoves over a decade old. Dealers highlight a wide gap to 1953 models with plans for festivities, parades, and sales routes to emphasize modernization and convenience in the kitchen.
Gordon Collier, coordinator for the Oro Fuel Gas Co and dealer manager, will head the Old Stove Round-Up in October. He will coordinate with area gas appliance dealers to plan demonstrations, with Betty Newton of Oni vel Gas Co supervising burner and thermostat adjustments. Dealers and manufacturers will execute dealer-specific demonstrations as part of the overall plan.
