County Auditor Frank Ayres presents 1940 and 1952 Elyria valuations showing total real estate public utilities and tangible personal property rose from 41 157 048 to 76 245 252 an 85 percent gain. Industrial real estate and machinery led the surge with gains of 324 percent and 343 percent respectively while residential and commercial real estate grew about 25 percent.

Baus Stricken Before Wedding Ceremony

R B Baus former manager of the Lorain County Home and his bride Mrs Cora Fesler faced a sudden delay as Baus suffered a heart attack 49 minutes before their wedding in Elyria. He was rushed to Elyria Memorial Hospital while en route from the Miller home to the ceremony. The couple planned to wed then reside in Eustis Florida after the ceremony.

Soviet MIG-15 jets buzzed and fired near a U S Air Force C-47 carrying a nurse and five crew members along the Berlin air corridor. Locked Brakes Blamed In Two Local Vehicle Incidents

William Schultz of Perma blamed locked brakes for a rollover on Chestnut Ridge road at 1 10 a m today. He said the brakes jammed when slowing for a side road, causing loss of control.
