Lorain youth Harry T Foote a Bowdoin College senior and Bowdoin publicity staff member has been chosen as a provisional candidate for the annual class of 1808 Prize Speaking contest. Hamlin Woman's Relief Corps held 33 members at the G A R Memorial hall with plans announced for a district convention at Wooster on October 14 and an all day event as part of future activities.

Mrs. Clara Steinman of Bucyrus was a guest of Mrs. Margaret Balls over the weekend. Patricia Simms returned home after two weeks with her uncle and aunt in Ridgeville. Frank Bechtel visited his brother in Birmingham Sunday. James Sayers and wife of Ridgeville were guests of Clifton Simms. Rally Day will be observed at the church Sunday, October 10.
