Dinner party jewel theft puzzle solved by guest
A collector hosted eight for dinner with A B and C guests. After inspecting the jewel collection a theft occurred and one guest is identified as the criminal. The criminal’s spouse lost money at cards that night and several guests engaged in social gambits, including Mrs B burning Mrs A’s gown and Mr C sharing winnings with his wife. The question remains who stole the valuable article.
