CSU grads score low on state bar exams
Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law posted the second lowest passing rate among Ohio’s nine state law schools on last July’s bar exam. Dean Robert L. Bogomolny cites a policy of admitting high-risk students, including minorities and first generation entrants, as contributing to the below-average results. He notes 64 percent passed in 1982 and 1983, with 30 repeaters in the latest year, and mentions a switch to semesters to improve outcomes and aid bar review access.
