E. D. Vaughn brother of J. J. Vaughn on the high school staff retires on the Leo Bessemer Line pension list. His last run will be November 30 with a passenger train passing through. He began railroading in August 1872 on the B and Q out of Chicago and later served with the Milwaukee and Lake Shore and Western among others. He survived several wrecks and will make his home in Ashland after retirement.

The $10,000 alienation case of Mary Senlag vs Julia Moltar ended today with a jury verdict of $1000 in damages. Lorain woman Turner prosecuted the case, a victory for Helen Acs.
Roy E. Murphy was found dead outside Elliott school last night. Coroner L L Eitim es and Sheriff Bradford said the death was accidental, not a murder, following a safety related wound investigated after their return from the scene.
